Dear Madame/Sirs,
We are a vocational school for personnes aged 15-21, with mental
retardation.
The mission of Hasan Tahsin İş Okulu is to improve the
basic surviving abilities of our students who have limited learning
capacity at medium level, and to prepare them for social and
professsional life by educating them through working.
The vision of the school is to provide our students the
opportunity of practising their knowledge and abilities of the
professions outdoors they gained at school and to strengthen their
professional knowledge which they were taught at school and had the
working discipline of the branches in working environment, and to
widen the fields of employment, and to support them to reach an
economical independence.
The ateliers at our school are agriculture, home
economics, woodworks, metalworks, handcrafts and clothing. Students
are educated on increasing green fields at the agriculture atelier and
on service technics at home economics atelier.
We direct our students graduated from agriculture
atelier to many official or semi-official establishments' green field
departments, and the graduates of service technics programme to many
restaurants and cafeterias as apprentices. At the end of the
apprenticeship they mostly are employed permanently. During the
apprenticeship period, our school gives a guidence and consultancy
service to the students, to the families and to the employers.
Throughout the "mobility project" we aim to increase
the quality of our service for education and employment by
self-examining the applications and the processes at our school.
We are looking for a school and too etablissement parteners like us.
