Text of report in English by Romanian news agency Rompres Bucharest, 16 February: The Ministry of Economy and Trade (MEC) has launched on Friday 16 February a public debate on the draft decision as regards investments' implementation in units 3 and 4 from Cernavoda Nuclear Power Station (CNE), MEC informs on its website. According to the draft of this normative act, investors wishing to participate in the construction of these units must meet participation preconditions and needed solvency and secure participation with cash to the share capital of the newly set up commercial company, proportionate with each entity's participation to the share capital, but not less than 50 million euros per investor. In line with this draft, investors are to be attracted in the implementation of units 3 and 4 at Cernavoda through the establishment of a commercial company, a corporate entity under private law jurisdiction, set up in line with legislation in force in Romania. The future commercial company is to operate on the electricity market as an independent power producer.
