EUROPAfest: Blues Radio Budapest at ArCuB published in issue 3927 page 12 at 2007-05-09 A musical feast is scheduled to begin today at the ArCuB where extraordinary blues, jazz and pop concerts will be taking place every night until May 12. Larry Franco Quartet (Italy), Blues Radio Budapest (Hungary), Three For Jazz (ester Andujar, Ximo Tebar & Ricardo Belda (Spain), Antonio Flinta Trio (Italy) are the most expected appearances of the EUROPAfest on the ArCuB stage. Like every year, the special events of jmEvents.ro are regulars of the various international festivals (Montreux Jazz Festival, Pescara Jazz Festival, etc.), well-established bands that will be giving their first concerts in Romania. The exception is the Larry Franco Quarter that was also invited to EUROPAfest in 2006. The first performance in the series of ArCuB concerts is reserved for the Blues Radio Budapest - a surprising fusion of blues, jazz and funk from Hungary. Surprising because the name of the band was inspired by the 50-yaer old refurbished radios the band uses for amplifiers. They have a sound where one can notice the strong influence of American blues-rock: ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins, Johnny Lang, the last being outrun by the four in eccentricity and unique personality. Blue feeling across the street from the US Embassy on May 9, at 20:30 hours. On the same night from 17 hours another unconventional concert facility will be opened - Caffee Festival Ibis - where Three For Jazz and Antonio Flinta Trio promise to bring colour and reverie atmosphere. Three For Jazz is made up of ester Andujar (soloist), Ximo Tebar (guitar) and Ricardo Belda (piano), all holders of prizes such as the Jazz World Award or the Special Prize of the Jury of the Montreux Jazz festival. You can see them in an ArCuB exclusive concert on the 11th as well. They will be followed by Antonio Flinta's trio (Antonio Flinta - piano, Roberto Bucci - contrabass, Claudio Gioannini - drums), an instrumental jazz project with a studied sound with origins in the American mainstream jazz. They will also appear in concert at the Caffee Festival Ibis on the 10th and at ArCuB on the 11th. by Nine oClock <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (C) 2000-2005 Nine o'Clock ---------------------------- Vali "Noble blood is an accident of fortune; noble actions are the chief mark of greatness."
