Dear Madam, Dear Sir!

I would like to announce to you that a new website about the "Environment for
Europe" process is now available. Have a look, the website address is:
www.environmentforeurope.org.

This website is a new information resource service made possible with the
support of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).

This website aims at providing fast access to relevant and reliable information
on the "Environment for Europe" process: with one or two mouse clicks only, you
can easily access such information, download relevant documents and quickly
find links to specialized websites. We are committed to provide information
which is not biased and which is up to date and objective. Our goal is to make
this website most useful and user friendly.

The website features detailed information on the sixth Environment for Europe
Ministerial Conference scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia, October
10-12, 2007, as well as information on the history of the "Environment for
Europe" process, current mandates and organizational arrangements of
implementing institutions, and summaries of completed and ongoing work
implemented in various work areas (themes) of the process, including for
example:

- Biodiversity; sustainable development in mountain areas

- Education for sustainable development

- Energy efficiency

- Environment and security

- Environmental finance

- Environmental policies, enforcement and compliance

- Multilateral environmental agreements

- Pan-European state of the environment assessment

- Sustainable consumption and production

- Water supply and sanitation

Don't miss: Most of the documents to be discussed at the upcoming WGSO meeting
in Geneva are now available. Throughout our website you will find the links to
these latest documents (including many draft final versions of documents, which
will be submitted to the Belgrade Environment for Europe Ministerial
Conference).

Yours sincerely,
