Call for applications*<http://www.infoeuropa.ro/ieweb/jsp/page.jsp?cid=197&lid=2&id=27239> *Description:* PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: In line with the strategic goals of the i2010 Initiative, and in support of the Good Practice Exchange Initiative, the European eGovernment Awards 2007 and the Ministerial eGovernment Conference 2007 will revolve around four themes relating to Information and Communication Technologies and public services, in order to achieve maximum coherence and synergy. ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES: The third European eGovernment Awards, organised by the European Commission, will select good practices on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in public service. There are five eligibility criteria: 1. The case must be from an EU Member State, a candidate country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and/or Switzerland. 2. The case must be in operation (i.e. plans, pilots and trials are not eligible). 3. The application must be filed by a public sector actor, but can be supported by external actors. 4. The case must be appropriately described (i.e. required data fields in the submission form must be filled in and meaningful, relevant information must be provided). 5. Cases that have been submitted to previous awards under the eEurope Awards Programme have to demonstrate significant progress. WHO CAN APPLY: All public administrations in Europe (national, regional, local, etc.) that deliver eGovernment services and solutions can apply. Submissions from EU Member States, candidate countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland will be accepted. DEADLINE: The deadline for submission of applications is 11 June 2007, ora 16.00(CET).
