Euro-Barometer data show that level of „satisfaction with everyday life" in Romania for the average citizen, both on the short (43%) and medium term (57%), is over the average registered in the Union, no matter if it refers to citizens from the new (35% and 42%) or old member states (37% and 43%). Moreover, internet access levels, although under the European average, offer supplementary resources of trust in the EU and optimism as regards the national and individual economic situation.
