ALTER ECO – Communicating through Media, Bucharest is looking for 4 
participants from youth Romanian organizations to take part in a 
Training Course "Informing Youth" that will take place in Struga, 
Macedonia from 15th to 22nd of January 2008. 

The Training course is organized by Macedonian Youth Press and will 
count with participants from 11 countries (Romania, Poland, Italy, 
Greece, Bosnia Herzegovina, Turkey, Albania, Slovenia, Croatia and 
Montenegro).

PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
We are looking for 4 participants between 22-30 years old that are 
part of a Youth Romanian organization with experience, in youth work, 
Youth in Action Program and that has a special interest or has been 
involved in projects related to informing youth by using different 
media tools.

TC AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Information is very valuable resource not only for the organizations 
but also for the beneficiaries of the programs. Nowadays many 
organizations face the lack of proper mechanisms for finding and 
disseminating useful information among its members, volunteers and 
the community. 

The TC aims to promote:
•       Cooperation and dissemination of information among different 
organizations at national and European level 
•       Development of informational structures inside organization 
such as youth medias

The project seeks to analyze the importance of the information, 
development of informative structure and youth media at local, 
national and European level. 
The different workshops will allow participants to learn from each 
other experiences and to work in developing concrete media 
instruments (web, newspapers, radio …) for disseminating information. 

The TC will provide participants with the required knowledge about 
youth information that will allows them to create in cooperation a 
web page aimed to inform young people from all over Europe about 
different youth related topics. The participants will be responsible 
of creating the contents and updating the site.
  
The trainers will share their knowledge regarding structures such as 
Euro-desk, European Youth Press, Youth Portal, SALTO RC and etc. 
  
TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION COST
Participant's accommodation and food costs for the week are provided 
by the TC organizers (100%). Travel costs (bus or train) will be 
covered 70% under the framework of the Youth in Action Program (the 
travel cost will be reimbursed to participants by Macedonian Youth 
Press organizations during the TC).
