Experts for Call 1

Artemisia is in urgent search of independent experts with the mission
to help evaluate project proposals as submitted to the ARTEMIS Joint
Undertaking.
We need a list of at least 40 names of experts for the first call.
Please come forward with as many persons you can think of, and that
have appropriate expertise for this task.
Each project proposal will be evaluated by four experts. The Interim
Executive Director will select two experts from a list of experts as
proposed by the members of the Public Authorities Board of the JU, and
he will select two experts from a list of experts that is compiled by
ARTEMISIA.
The ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking is an industry driven programme. That is
why ARTEMISIA likes to see on the ARTEMISIA list of experts
particularly experts from industry and/or experts from universities
and R&D institutes that have a strong affinity with industry.

It is important for this database of having information with a
sufficient level of detail for the interim Executive Director to make
an appropriate allocation to proposals. Note that potential evaluators
will be checked against the conflict of interest rules as described in
annex B of the Evaluation and Selection procedures (decision
ARTEMIS-PAB-4/08).

If you as a partner of a consortium submitted a project proposal,
experts from entities from that consortium will not participate in the
evaluation of that particular project. However, they will evaluate
projects of other consortia to which they do not belong. Following the
discussions at the last Governing Board on June 3rd, 2008regarding the
evaluators, the required areas of expertise are related to the
objectives of the ARTEMIS JU Annual Work Programme 2008.

The remote evaluators are payed 450 Euro per day of work. Maximum
hours to spend per proposal is still to be determined.

The experts coming to Brussels are paid 450 Euro per day plus travel
expenses and a daily allowance to cover hotel and food.
