Intercultural and European Management for Non-Profit-Organisations
The Department of Social and Cultural Studies at the Fulda University of 
Applied Sciences launches on September 22 the part-time vocational study 
programme Intercultural and European Management for Non-Profit-Organisations.

Target group are specialists, executives and upcoming executives in 
organisations and associations of international-oriented charity work as well 
as persons who are intending to perform such an activity, e.g. in the field of 
social services, in welfare partnership projects in european networks or in 
organisations contributing to the shaping of civil society development. 

Participants will be qualified to face and master professionally the enourmous 
challenges following from the ever-growing international nature of non profit 
organisations.  Next to successfully coping with cross-cultural encounters 
along linguistic and cultural barriers, it is essential for non profit 
organisations to make the most of the opportunities on hand, mainly brought 
about by the latest expansion of the European Union. First notably, this 
includes being aware of and benefiting from the impact of the European Union as 
impetus in relevant areas of society and economy, as relevant legislator and as 
donor of grants. 

The practice-oriented mediation of knowledge and methods promotes the 
participants in

  a.. dealing successfully with intercultural settings 
  b.. preparing and conducting lobbying strategies for non profit organisations 
  c.. steering and managing concepts of social marketing and organisational 
development.
Participants become acquainted with

  a.. concepts, techniques and practice of non profit management and 
  b.. gain an comprehensive overview of the European sociopolitical action 
programmes and the design of the European Social Model (Social Europe).
Intercultural and European Management for Non-Profit-Organisations is a 
certified course (20 ECTS) which can be completed in tandem with work. It 
consists of study periods at home and at the Fulda University of Applied 
Sciences. In order to allow students to reflect on what they have learned, an 
electronic learning management system will be offered. 

On successful completion of Intercultural and European Management for 
Non-Profit-Organisations you will be awarded a Fulda University of Applied 
Sciences Certificate (20 ECTS).

Target Group and Admission Requirements
The programme is especially aimed at specialists, executives and up-coming 
executives in international oriented charity organisations and associations, 
with emphasis on Middle and Eastern Europe, and anyone trying to enter into 
this field 

Entry qualifications: degree (e.g. social sciences, humanities, health and 
social care / health studies, management or similar) or relevant job 
experience, minimum 1 year and good english language skills, corresponding to 
level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
