GRSPSociety is launching a call for applications for positions in several project teams led by members of its working groups. This call includes positions within the following working groups and projects: 1) Business and Finance Jumpstart Romania (6 positions) 2) Culture and Art Modern Interpretation of Romanian Heritage: A Contest and Painting Exhibition (1 position) 3) Democracy and Participation Diaspora Votes (1 position) 4) Democracy and Participation Voices for Romania (2 positions) 5) Public Administration and Public Policy Economic Sectors Evaluation Cards (4 positions) 6) Romania's Image Abroad Online Community of Romania (6 positions) Read below for brief project descriptions. (Full information available here: http://www.grspsociety.org/projects /openings) 1) Business and Finance Jumpstart Romania The goal of this project is to provide Romanian entrepreneurs with access to information about investment funds and success stories of Romanians living abroad for the purpose of promoting Romanian entrepreneurship and foreign investment in Romania. We hope to do this by developing a database of investment funds and a compilation of interviews with successful Romanian business people abroad to be made publicly available to Romanian entrepreneurs. Positions available: Database and Research Coordinator Investment Funds, Investor Contact Coordinator, Legal Resources Coordinator, Pre-Interview Coordinator, Interview Coordinator, Post-Interview Coordinator, Public Media Coordinator 2) Culture and Art Modern Interpretation of Romanian Heritage: A Contest and Painting Exhibition Organizing a painting contest based on modern interpretations of Romanian traditions. There will be four finalists and their works will be presented in an exhibition at the 3rd Global Conference of GRSPSociety. The competition is addressed to Romanian citizens that live abroad; the artists will be offered the opportunity to promote their works through the exhibition organized at the GRSPSociety conference and they will be able to connect with other Romanian artists as well as cultural institutions from Romania and abroad. Positions available: Communication and Documentation Assistant 3) Democracy and Participation Diaspora Votes The project aims at lobbying for legislation for the introduction of electronic or mail-in voting for Romanian citizens living or working abroad. Positions available: Electoral Reform Researcher 4) Democracy and Participation Voices for Romania The project aims at bringing the presence of Romanian professionals from abroad to the local Romanian press. Their presence and contribution will be available to the younger generation through interviews and debates. Using the local journal to promote high quality values will have a good impact on the society as this will serve as a role model to young Romanian students. Positions available: Implementation Team Member, Webmaster 5) Public Administration and Public Policy Economic Sectors Evaluation Cards The project aims to create a website with indicators/scores of the main Romanian economic sectors. This will be a "one stop shop" that summarizes and brings together information currently dispersed throughout the web by reliable and relevant sources. The beneficiaries of the project will be foreign investors, Romanians abroad, and Romanian citizens. Positions available: Sector Manager, Industry Researcher, Contact Coordinator, Database Coordinator 6) Romania's Image Abroad Online Community of Romania Internet users are keen to tell others about their travel experiences and share information about their favorite places. The community will be the link between the people who know and love Romania, and those who are curious to learn more.
