Fundraising Director 

Position Purpose

To lead fundraising efforts for the association and for the projects initiated 
by its 9 working groups. 

 Responsibilities

Create and implement annual fundraising plan and strategy 
Lead and manage the association's overall development efforts to raise the 
annual budget; work with the treasurer to achieve this 
Train and lead other staff to support fundraising and marketing efforts 
Cultivate relationships with current and potential corporate & foundation 
sponsors 
Develop and grow our individual donor base 
Support working group staff with information and know-how in achieving their 
fundraising needs 
Coordinate the fundraising efforts for the Annual GRSPSociety Conference (to be 
held in December 2010) 
Write grant proposals and reports to corporate, foundation, and government 
funders 
Work with the Communications Director to help in the developement and 
implementation of a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy 
Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, often events-based 
Lead and manage fundraising for the new GRSPSociety Bucharest office

Requirements

Willingness to commit at least 4 hours per week for the above mentioned 
responibilities (position not limited by geography).

Enthusiasm for GRSPSociety's goals

Experience in the field of fundraising and grant writing is a plus

Webmaster

GRSPSociety is looking for a webmaster to maintain and grow the organization's 
website. This person will also have the opportunity to be involved with the 
organization's projects and to take on additional responsibilities.

To fill this position, we are looking for a

·     Reliable, self-motivated person

·     Fast learner

·     Fluent English speaker

·     Young professional who is enthusiastic for GRSPSociety's goals

·     Willing and able to commit at least 4 hours per week as a webmaster 
(position not limited by geography).

Technical expertise

Because our website can be managed without programming knowledge, previous web 
management experience is not required. We are looking for the following skills:

·  Required: basic HTML

·  Preferred but not required: Familiarity with Drupal or other Content 
Management Systems (Mambo, Joomla)

·  A nice plus: PHP, Mysql, CSS, Javascript


Responsibilities

·  Update website content;

·  Design layout changes;

·  Perform website maintenance;

·  Collaborate with the Communications Team to help implement the 
organization's communications strategy. 

·  Collaborate with working group staff to support their projects (e.g. help 
them create a database of Romanian researchers abroad).
