Masterclass for professional photographers from Southeastern Europe The World Press Photo Foundation in partnership with the Robert Bosch Stiftung organizes the ‘SEE New Perspectives’ – Masterclass for professional photographers from Southeastern Europe.
Interested photographers are now invited to apply online on www.see-masterclass.com The deadline for registration is 24 May 2010. The deadline for submission is 31 May 2010. The Masterclass aims to give momentum to the professional development of the participants and strengthen their skills in storytelling. Who can apply? The Masterclass is open to 15 professional photographers with a nationality and residency from one the following countries within Southeastern Europe: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania or Serbia. Participants must work as a professional photographer in the field of photojournalism and/or documentary photography, with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 15 years professional working experience. Furthermore, they must have at least intermediate English speaking and writing skills. Program Participants will be invited to participate in a Masterclass in Berlin, Germany, from 1-8 September 2010. After the Masterclass, all participants will be asked to produce a photo story on a certain topic outside of your home country, but within the region of Southeastern Europe. In order to complete the assignment, they will receive a grant.
