Honestly, I don't intend to criticize you in any way, shape, or form.  I thought I remembered that you had described yourself as more of a user of software than a developer.  If, however, I'm wrong on this point, well, now I know better.

I try to tune my answers to the person asking the question.  Although I've seen you do a lot of impressive things here, I wasn't sure about your background as a developer, so I tuned my response for a serious, sober system administrator with a shell programming background.  Gravest apologies if I had it tuned in completely the wrong way.

It probably didn't help that I have only half-heartedly been paying attention, as I've been focused on other things.  I probably should have read the thread more carefully before responding.  Mea culpa.

Rock on, man.  You're doing great stuff here.  Probably better than my own contributions, in my opinion.
