Actually, it's not that silly...I compile the client on my workstation, so 
that I can just run citadel without having to telnet/ssh into my BBS box.  
I don't have libical installed on my workstation (not much need for it, 
since the calendaring app, Citadel, runs on my server, and the text client 
doesn't need calendaring support), and don't want to have to install it, 
just so that I can compile/run the client.
