So far it's working pretty well. I used the guide at http://youmightnotneedjquery.com/ to figure out how to do things without jQuery. Now maybe I've done something horrible, because I've only tested so far on Chrome, but we'll see. The inspiration was of course the fact that W3CSS doesn't use jQuery. Most frameworks just use it because they assume everyone does. And so, IG's dance with jQuery ends after just a few weeks. Legacy webcit uses Prototype and Scriptaculous, which I liked very much, but those are more or less obsolete now.
