Anyway, what I forgot to mention was, maybe try to see if you can get it to deadlock on your system using the supplied load test program. Or if not, maybe you can modify loadtest.c with new options to create the deadlock condition.
I really want to offer some insight here but I don't think I can do so without recreating the problem here.
