Work is underway to provide a seamless support of NT6 applications on top of the existing codebase. Also the majority of developers should be using an NT6 platform themselves, so they certainly aim for support for NT6 applications. Finally, applications compiled by modern versions of Visual Studio are NT6-only by default, so supporting this platform is unavoidable. Just my two cents, as the previous replies could lead you to believe we're failing the reality check.
