I didn't try yet. Privately I use SQLite or MySQL and at work we have a 
"normal" version. 
The reason, I posted the link was to possibly speed up the development 
on Oracle support, because I would very much like to use RDBO at work, 
too. (By the way, is someone working on Sybase support, or is there 
experience with the generic driver?)

But back to your question. I think it should be possible to use from 
perl. In an annoncement I read that the only limitations are max size 
of the database, memory and processors used and such things, no 
functional limitations.
I would try it myself if I could find a (recent) compiled DBD::Oracle 
for windows. ftp://ftp.esoftmatic.com that used to have a ppm seems to 
be down.
