Would there be any interest in me eventually abstracting a  
'to_memcached' / 'from_memcached' data store that I've been working  
on, into the Rose svn ?

its nowhere near ready on my internal mangling of stuff -- much less  
standardizing it.  but I'd be happy to port it eventually if there's  
interest.
