Roger,
You are doing everything exactly correct. Rose does not create the diagram
with all tables in it automatically, because if this was a large database
say even not so large with a few hundred tables, it would not be very
usable. All you have to do now is open that diagram and either drag the
table that you want onto it or just go to Query --> Add Tables and select
all or just the ones you want.

Subject: (ROSE) newbie - Data Model Diagram
I am having problems generating a data model diagram from a reverse
engineered schema.
Can anyone help?
I used Data Modeler to reverse engineer a SQL Server 6.5 database. That
seemed to work OK. In the browser the database appears under
Component View and the schema appears under Schemas in the Logical View
with the tables under the schema in the browser.
However, I want to see a diagram of the data model. I right-clicked on the
generated schema and clicked on Data Modeler>New>Data Model
Diagram. A blank (empty) diagram is created.
What am I doing wrong? How do I see a Data Model Diagram of the generated
schema?
Thanks!
