There are a couple of routes for this.
- The surest route is to take Rational's "Extending Rational Rose" training
course. This is offered around once a quarter, out in California. I've
sent some of my tech reps (field engineers) to this. They give the course
very high marks. BTW, this course is about much more than just RoseScript.
It addresses all the mechanisms that are available for extending Rose.
- Learn by examining the sample scripts that come with Rose. Also, set
yourself some specific scripting goals, and dig into it.
The pro of the first approach is that your rate of learning will be greatly
accelerated. The con is that it does cost money.
The pro of the second approach is that it doesn't cost extra money. The con
is that it will cost you more staff time (which itself can be translated
into dollars).
