If you show in your class diagram, which class is in which rule of MVC (e.g. as notes), all is said.
One advantage of pattern is, that all readers (who know the pattern :-) immediately know the background (advantages, disadvantages, assotiations to other classes ...).
You can show a reference to "Design Pattern" of Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson & John Vlissides (GoF-Book; Gang of Four).
