Title: AW: (ROSE) static operation ?

UML 1.3 sais:
"A class-scope attribute is shown by underlining the name and the type expression string; otherwise the attribute is instance-scope."

"A clsss-scope operation is shwon by underlining the name and type expression string. An instance-scope operation is the default and is not marked."

OK - that is UML.

But ... on the other side is RR ...

Probably in one of the next releases ....

Humh, strange I don't get that $. I'd like to get. Doesn't UML say static attributs and operations are underlinded ??

    Thanks.

    A.

In my diagram (Rose 2000e / Java) the operation is not underlined but with a $ between the icon for access mode and the signature.

Yes, my problem is that the operation that I declared static doesn't show underlined in the diagramm. Are you have the same behavior?

      Thanks (Danke viels mals)

      Alain.

        1. You have to specify the Java-Language for the class (e.g. create a Component with Language Java and Drag&Drop the Class on it)

        2. On Standard-Specification you choose the operation
        3. On the Java-Tab of Specification of the operation you can choose "static"

        Hello,

How do you tell rose "this is a static operation"?
(using Java as default language with Rose2000e).

        Thanks.

        Alain.
