Hi, we just tested the new Rose 2001 prof. Datamodeller with reverse engineering from Oracle8i 8.1.6.0 but some problems occured. 1. Is it a known bug that stored procedures in packages are not reverse engineered? The standard stored procedures worked fine but we have all our SP's grouped in packages.... 2. We have many schemas and some of them have grants with some other. So if we logg in with one username and password we have only the choice to select other schemas which are granted to tables of this current schema. But we want to reverse engineer all the schemas which belongs to our project with all tables, attributes,... . Is there an easy way to give one user (schema) grants for all of the schemas and tables in the database to select the schemas for reverse engineering? And which grants should be given? We could do it by logging in to all the schemas seperatly but there is another problem... 3. If we logg in as one user (schema) other schemas are shown correctly but the schema we are logged in with is shown twice in the reverse engineer wizard. One in upper and one in lower characters and when we tried to reverse engineer this schema there is an error "java.lang.NullPointerException" and Rose crashed. (during the update of the Rose model) In some schemas there is no exception and in some there are, so what could cause this error? We tried all three ways only the lower, only the upper and both schemas but the error raises in all cases. We are using the Oracle Net8 Client Version 8.0.4. Might this be a problem with the Oracle Client? 4. When we want to synchronize an existing schema this schema is synchronized with all schemas which have been given grants to other schemas, so in the synchronazation wizard we have to select/unselect all tables,.. from other schemas otherwise we have all the tables from the granted schemas in our schema we wished to synchronize. Its not very comfortable to synchronize one schema or are we missing something? Thanks for any advise Fred
