The business domain model provides an overview of the domain and introduces
key concepts of the domain. We model the association between these concepts
to gain a better understanding of the domain. Defining the domain model
occurs before the use-case model as it provides the necessary knowledge of
the domain to be able to identify use-cases.
Example: Lets say our domain is a university registration system. Key
concepts uncovered while modeling the business domain would be students,
classes and instructors.
Hope that helps.
