Hi,

A question for you guys:

Is it possible to have both states and activities in one diagram. I don't
mean if it is possible technically, but if it is a semantic correct way of
modeling.
We are modeling a bug's lifecycle. Typically this is a statechart diagram.
One of my collegues created a diagram with both Activities and states. I am
having doubts weather this is semantic correct.

An example of the modeled part:

STATE: "To Test" indicates that the developer has fixed the bug and assigned
it to a tester
STATE: "In Test" indicates that a tester is testing the specific bug.
ACTIVITY: "testing" indicates the action 'testing'
STATE: "Closed" indicates that the tester has found that the bug is solved.

In my collegue's model, this is also the sequence of the objects..but
especially the Activity in this diagram seems strange to me.

What do you think?

Greetings,
Arno Leenders
