You'll need to clear some freetime for this one - it's about the size of the
Bible!

Jason,

You raise an interesting point that I myself queried when I was at
University.

I was told that "behaviour is king" and that the number of attributes that a
given class has (I suggested in the hypothetical example over 100) was
*immaterial* so long as there was only a few methods it did not matter!

Whether this is true or not (I happen to think I was being fobbed off with a
lame answer) there must be some kind of approach to design a class
'properly' and refine it further after using the CRC cards etc etc.

I am interested in the book you talk of but a search at www.compman.co.uk
returned no results. Would you possibly mind passing on the ISBN or even
the name of the book so I can look into this.

Regards

Colin

PS. You're site is starting to turn into an awesome information repository
- growing at an alarming rate. I've studied Design By Contract myself but
your documents are so well written I cannot help but be impressed.

This hard work is very much appreciated.

It sounds as though your object is behaviourally too complex. This is
something I specialize in, but I couldn't really comment further without
something concrete to discuss.

Have you seen a copy of Robert Binder's book on OO testing, there might be
some wisdom on achieving equivalent behaviour with a simpler design in
there.

Best of luck

One of my object has a complex state which is determinded by several state
variables . Combinding these variables will result in a huge number larger
than 100.Anyone can give me some advice on modeling this state Diagram?
