On OO testing have a look at Bob Binder's site and invest in his book.
http://www.rbsc.com. You might also want to read up on Design by Contract
and how to derive state machines from action constraints (pre and post
conditions (http://www.xml-objects.com). There's a few links and a search
engine where I've indexed some of the best material on this kind of thing.
I'm afraid test automation from Rose (and pretty much every other UML tool)
is pretty poor at the moment due to the ambiguous nature of UML 1.3. The
Precise UML group is meeting in Italy this April to discuss UML 2.0 and how
the metamodel can be transformed into other languages, including test
languages (although, being designers they haven't spent much time on
testing...) I think also that the new Quality Architect product from
Rational addresses the link between UML and verification, although there
will probably be rapid developments in this area in the next 3 years.

Hello,
Is anyone out there creating a 'Test Model' in Rose? There doesn't seem to
be a lot of information in RUP on this. UML specifies notation for this
(use cases with 'X's in them) but I do not believe that Rose supports this.
Any information on this would be appreciated!
