The comp and sync (in Rose 2001) works only in the case your schema name in Rose is the same as the account you are using to connect to db. For example, if your schema name is SCOTT, then you should connect to oracle using SCOTT/TIGER account. The wizard runs just fine, but Rose will not detect the changes and then display them on the summary screen. I have tried adding/deleting fields in either the model or the database and comparing, but it never detects the changes. I have also tried creating/dropping tables but this is not detected, nor is a comparison with a DDL file. Is there a trick to get this to work? BTW: is there a way to search these mail archives?
