I am creating some EJB diagrams (Rose Professional Edition 2001.03.00), and
everything in the class is created with a fully qualified class name.
For instance, if a method throws an exception, when you choose from the list
of exceptions you get the fully qualified name (i.e.
java.rmi.RemoteException). Anything I must choose from a drop-down like
arguments, throws, extends, return type, etc. shows a fully qualified name.
This is fine for the model, but it generates the JAVA code with these long
names which I definitely do not want.
I have been able to alter this some of the time, but most of the time Rose
will not let me change the name (remove the qualification). For instance, I
am unable to change java.rmi.RemoteException to simply RemoteException. It
tells me "The class RemoteException does not exist in the model".
We did not have this happen in Rose 2000, although there were some Rose
experts in-house before (they are gone now) that may have known how to
tweak this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Burch
