Hi,
I have related but probaly simpler problem:
using Rose 2000e,
created $CURDIR=&, everything worked fine - I was able to move the
project (all mdl and cats) to another folder.
Next thing I tried to copy and run the project (all mdl and cats) on
another machine, with different instance of RROse running.
It wasn't able to pick up .cat file because Rose cannot find CURDIR
settings on these other PC.
Is it a way to create the project (mdl + cats) with relative path links
and move it from pc to pc without re-configuring Rose on each machine?

Thank you,
Oleg Starovoitov.

Subject: (ROSE) Relative path maps in Rose 2001

Hi,

I am currently evaluating Rose 2001, and I'd like to enable "relative"
references to files, so that I can store models in our CM system (which
is
not ClearCase). I have added a $CURDIR=& path map as stated in the
help, and
everything works fine with controlled packages, but not with references
to
external documents.

For example, if I create a simple test model under c:\models\test.mdl,
add a
single package to it and control it as c:\models\units\package.cat, and
add
a reference to an external document to it located in
c:\models\units\package.doc, the path to this document is stored as
$CURDIR\package.doc, which is fine as far as I understand, but I cannot
open
it from Rose once the model is reloaded, because Rose looks for it in
c:\models\package.doc (i.e., assumes $CURDIR to be that of the model in
this
context).

Sorry if this is a bit confused, but I was wondering if anyone had
experienced the same problem before, or if I was missing something?

Thanks
