hiho,
Rose's copy-and-paste works across models, so that is an option. You could
have two models up and copy-and-paste, or you could open a model, copy, open
a different model, and paste.
With this solution, as well as with the .cat solution described previously,
you have to be real careful to make sure you get all the modeling elements
you want. For example, associations have their own home location in the
model; if you export/import a ptl or cat file or if you copt-and-paste a
package, make sure all relevant associations live in that package.
You are definitely best off getting the 100% closure of the classes that you
want and the ones related to them and putting all this -- plus the
associations between them -- into a package that you use as the unit of
transfer.
