RoseApp.CurrentModel.GetSelectedClasses.GetAt(1).GetAssignedLanguage()

Will return the language assigned to the class, i.e., "Visual Basic", "C++",
etc. That corresponds to "cg", so I *think* that is what you are looking
for.
