i just checked with Rose2001, and the only way to change the direction
without deletion is to drag/drop a little bit around:
- if you hit the end point of the message you can drag the choosen end
of it to another message.
Start Positions:
Msg from A to B, and at least one another object C
1. Drag end of Msg to C
2. Drag start of Msg to B
3. Drag end of Msg to A
End Positions:
Msg from B to A (and C hasn't changed)
... well, slow down your mouse. But better than deleting/retyping in some
cases.

Deleting:
- grab the *first* message (dependent) that is to the right of message to be
deleted (independent)
- drag and drop dependent message to a new location on diagram, such that it
is no longer on the independent message's Thread
- you can place the dependent message back to its original location after
deleting the independent message
Changing to/from:
- good luck... I have not found a way to do this.

I'm having 2 problems maintaining my sequence diagram:
- When I delete a message, every subsequent message dependent on the deleted
message (to the right) is also deleted. How do I prevent this from
happening?
- After I've created a message, how do I change the 'from' and 'to' objects
of the message? I've tried drag and drop and it doesn't move the message
from one object to another - it moves the entire object.
