Well I just tried this.  Took a class with two attributes.  Set one
attribute to public and the other to protected.  Transformed it to a Data
Model.  These two attributes were created as columns in the data model.
Works for me.  Some simple questions:
1.  What version of Rose are you using?
2.  How are you setting the Export Control of the attributes?
3.  Do you have the Show All Columns option checked?

Sorry to keep harping on the same issue but this is a real problem:
Protected/public attributes from a base class are not carried over to the
data model(in the derived classes)using the Rose data modeler conversion
feature.
