I have a question about the use of Rose to perform Systems Engineering
analysis & design activities. The intent is to create an Analysis Model
in Rose's Logical View and then isolate that early systems engineering
activity from the actual software implementation contained in the Design
Model package of Rose's Logical View. The early systems engineering
analysis needs to be retained to maintain traceability so we don't want
to allow the analysis model to just "evolve" into the design model.
While I'm aware that I can identify traceability between the analysis
artifacts and the design artifacts using ReqPro, I'd also like to create
a graphical depiction of the relationships between the Analysis Classes
and the Formal Classes, Subsystems, etc that the Analysis Classes evolve
into. What are the recommended diagrams, elements, and relationships one
should use to best convey these traceability relationships? Any
recommendations?
