Jan,
I am not sure if Terry Quatrani's book would qualify as a methodology book. It
focuses more on UML and Rose with a very brief overview of what used to be the
spiral(iterative) methodology of which RUP is a variant.
There is a good book on the RUP by Phillipe Krutchen.
If you are looking for more generic methologies, I would suggest some project
management books which do talk about all the existing methodologies (JAD, RAD, COTS,
Spiral/RUP) and the pros and cons of each.
(There is a couple by Steve C McConnell on RAD and one by Kent Beck on XP)
