Hi!
At first, Rose doesn't generate Class Diagrams for Java-Reverse-Engineering.
The way I used for this purpose is following.
1. create a new class diagram in your reverse-engineered package
2. select Query/Add Classes...
3. now select all main classes from your package
(main in sense of that you are interested in)
4. now select the newly added classes and do Query/Expand Selected
Elements...
5. select all the kinds of relationsships and the depth to depict
6. sort the classes/relationships to your needes
