Thank you for the answers. It seems algorithms are best described (eg in 
pseudo code) with the operations of classes, in activity diagrams or we 
have to purchase various versions of Rose for specific needs.

I'll stick to describing the algorithms or drawing activity diagrams and 
having "the programmers" fill the skeleton code accordingly.
