For most purposes there are two UML1.3 meta-models an analysis model and a
physical model.
A physical model is created by modifying the analysis model (99-10-16.mdl)
with the directions in Section 6.2 of the UML Specification.
The UML1.3 XMI1.0 DTD was generated from a UML1.3 physical model.
