Hi Business Modelers, I'm wondering how people trace business use cases to system use cases. Are you modeling your business processes as black box organizational use cases, then creating business use case realization(s) to show how business workers use information systems as resources? If so, do you map the system use case to <<business entity>> classes? I find that creating black box organizational use cases, then tracing them to white box organizational use cases is generally easier (all in text in other words). In the body of the white box business use case, you simply hyperlink to the system use cases included in the business use case. Its simple. Of course you still create a business concept model (class diagram). The black box business use case answers the question - "Is your business addressing the needs of its customers?" The related (i.e. same name)white box system use case answer the question - "How does your organization satisfy those needs?"
