Hi James,
in the CWM specification there are some UML Profile for Relational model
and for E-R model (these are UML profile because build with UML extension
mechanisms). You can analyze and decide how rose data modeler (now only
rose !) or other tools follows at this time these profiles.
Your very good question about UML and XMI requests time: i'm afraid but
today I haven't so much.
