So the best solution is to upload the attachement (zip) to a website (best to Rationals) and include a link.
I agree.
Maybe someone of Rational reads this and creates this possibility. (OK, we have to promised for uploading only small archives :-)

Hi, I was referring to the other way around. If you would like to publish material to others not read, then the fire-wall is a problem.
Attachments are OK I suppose, but in a mail-group like this your spending a lot of bandwidth distributing large attachments to everyone in the group regardless if you are interested or not.

But I am happy that this forum is text-based. So I revieves small messages which I can read in my small viewer.
Sometimes there are attachements (scripts, models, ...). So important information are available.
But if you work behind a firewall and can not get free materials you need via HTTP, then I think your firewall has the wrong configuration (for you).

Since Rational is in the visual modeling business it is a pity that the forum is only text(-mail) based. Although Rational has the means to have links to their own material this is not possible for all the users who are usually behind intranet fire-walls. It would be great if there was a ftp service where you could download user contributions and link to from the forum postings.
Use Case for this suggestion ftp:// <ftp://> .... hmm catch 22!
