Hello, I've been making my experiences with J2EE, especially with Servlets and JSPs, for 4 weeks. The servlets and classes are in my Visual Age IDE and aren't depoyed at the moment. I use the servlet engine of VAJ. Many times I go one step forward and two steps back in my (little) project. Due to the many changes I've decided not to use Rose before the project has evolved a bit and my experiences have increased. There are some questions regarding the usage of Rose 2001a Enterprise Edition for reverse engineering of my project. 1. Such a project has got 2 parts, a 'WebModeller'-part (JSPs, HTML) and a 'JAVA'-part (Servlets, EJBs and other server side java classes). Neither of them alone would be sufficient for a complete modelling of the project. Am I correct? 2. Which is the best way to start the reverse engineering with Rose Enterprise: - start with notation 'WebModeller' to receive the JSPs and the classes used by them. And afterwards change the notation to 'JAVA' and reverse engineer the Servlets and addtitional classes which are located in my Visual Age IDE? I think there will be classes which will be recognized in both rev. eng. processes. And they might be present in Rose two times in different packages (Rose Modeller uses a 'Virtual Directory' package). - or what would be a better way for Reverse Engineering? 3. In which part (Web Modeller- or 'normal 'JAVA'-part) should the other diagramm types be incorporated? Any hints are greatly appreciated. > Mit freundlichen Gren / Best regards > Oliver Schnhaar > _____________________________________ > Robert Bosch GmbH, Borsigstr. 14, 70 469 Stuttgart > QI/CCT2, Geb.
