The Catalysis web site has pointers regarding tool support:

Basically you can do most of your Catalysis component modeling using Rose,
however they recommend Catalysis Cool:Spex or Visio:Catalysis-Modeler for
more rigorous tool support.
Summary:
Use-case diagrams for Catalysis collaborations, Class diagrams, optionally
with a <<type>> annotation, for type models, Stereotyped package for a
framework definition, UML pattern notation for framework application, Child
diagrams (such as in Platinum's Paradigm Plus) for refinements, Stereotypes
for other finer-grained Catalysis distinctions

PS I found Daniels-Cheesman's approach for modeling component
specifications, as described in their book UML Components to be less dense
than Catalysis (from which it is partially derived).
