On my view you have three opportunities:
1. overide the attribute in the subklasses
2. initialize the attribute by the constructor and document this in the document field of the constructor
If you choose the first opprotunity you can see the initial value in your class diagram and the generated code will do this. In the second way you have to code it by hand, but you can see it in your model.

The initial value of this attribute may be different for each class in the
hierarchy.
How do I document it through my favourite modeling tool ? :-)
