I am trying the Model Integration tool that came with Rose 2001 for the first time and discovered that it cannot handle the simplest of tasks. My scenario is as follows: - Start with a base model with some classes say A, B, and C - Two different people modified the model simultaneously (using two separate copies of course) - One person added class X, the other added class Y - Using the model integrator to merge the two copies of the model - The model integrator indicated that there was a conflict because it wished to merge class X with class Y and insert this new X/Y class into the model!!!! - The right thing would have been: adding both class X and class Y to the model. This problem hindered work on large and comlex projects with many collaborators.
