No other suggestions - just tried it for real with 2001.04..... Changed
names and IDs in the mdl file but Rose still defaulted back. Rose has some
default mdl files floating around. Haven't tried removing or renaming them
but I bet they're using one of these or there's some other hack involved.
Why restrict names anyway? Pointless really.

unfortunately this does not work with Rose 2001.03.00. When I changed the
name in the mdl file, Rose does not care about the names. It seems that
they are hard coded within Rose.
Any other suggestions?
