Depends on the approach your group is going to take to do component-based
development work. If you follow the RUP, you basically package classes into
subsystems, and assign them to components.
Alternatively you can take what I consider is a more focused CBD-oriented
approach. First you create a component specification, provision it (often
wrapping existing functionality), assemble and deploy your solution. The
static aspects of your system and business components are specified using
class diagrams. Stereotypes used include <<type>>, <<datatype>>, <<interface
type>>, <<comp spec>>.
I recommend you read UML Components: A simple Process for Specifying
Component-Based Software and adopt a component-based approach to
development. This approach will complement the development enviroment you
are working in nicely(EJB).
