Hello
Anil,
Graphics are displayed in a generated document by
links. This is fine as long as the document is not moved. If it is
moved (emailed, etc.), the links are broken. So, if you plan to send your
document, do Tools->Macro->Macros. Click
mSaveGraphics, and Run. This will embed the graphics into the document and
you can then move it.
On extra piece of advice. Generally, there is no problem when using mSaveGraphics, but for
customers using Word 97, it can sometimes cause Word crashes during
execution. If you have a
resource problem when running mSaveGraphics, try
this:
In the generated document, use Alt/F9 OR select Tools->Options
and check the Field Codes box. This displays the field codes for the graphic, which controls how
Word merges the data into the document.
In the field code syntax for the graphic, the “\d” indicates that the
graphic is being displayed by a link.
If you remove the "\d" in the field code, the link will be replaced with the
picture when you save the file. You
can use Find/Replace to do this, especially if the document contains many
graphics.
This method is basically what the mSaveGraphics macro does, but it saves Word resources on very large documents. Jane Troxel
